Before you start the washing up wash them in the warm soapy water. It makes a world of difference to mine.

I buy lens wipes from Tesco, have tried the ones from Lidl but they are drier and could scratch the lens.Must admit thought it was me when they don't stay clean for long.Helen

I think that part of the problem is static - the plastic-y substance they make lenses from seems to attract dust more so than the old-style glass lenses. I use disposable specs wipes and then finish...

I was told the habit of pushing specs up on to the hair doesn't help. Our hair often isn't as clean as we think it is and it can affect the cleanliness of them. I still do it though. Cos I'm norty, lol.

I had this problem with my last set of specs and when I spoke to the optician I was told it was the anti glare coating that was the problem. It attracts all the muck in the air. I haven't got it on...
